DUROC BREED - HAPPY NEW ZEALAND PORK
In the lush green valleys of the Waikato region of New Zealand, their Duroc pigs are raised with care and consideration for both their welfare and the welfare of the environment that surrounds them.
The pigs are sheltered with room to roam and provided with things to stimulate them and keep them active. Their feed is varied with a dominance of corn rather than the usual cheaper barley, which helps keep the pigs healthier and therefore the pork meatier.
All waste and sawdust is trapped and composted and no runoff is allowed to escape in to our beautiful surrounding streams and rivers.
With decades of experience, we know that a happier pig is a healthier pig and a healthier pig produces much more flavourful, moist and succulent pork. And best of all, that’s what makes our customers much happier too.
